A near field communication tag (NFC tag) is a sticker/wristband/card/plastic disc with an embedded microchip that can be read by in range mobile devices. Information is stored in these microchips. NFC (Near Field Communication) is, as is my very rough understanding, the phone's ability to interact with tiny, programmable tags (chips, actually.) They cost about a dollar apiece, and range in size from that of a dime to a half-dollar. Some are built for use outdoors.Geocaching with NFC tags, chirp and more. The basic idea is that it will be a two-stage multicache, where the first stage has a small NFC tag hidden somewhere and scanning it gives you the coordinates for the final stage. Technology-wise, I have everything I need to make this cache and maintain it.
