Phoniebox controls using RFID cards. You can control the Phoniebox via RFID cards, like pause, stop, skip to next track, volume up, switch off wifi, start / stop recording, and the like. You don't need to use the arcade buttons for these controls.

To verify the connection to the Card Reader is working you can navigate to Card ID and swipe a RFID card on the reader. Now the Last used Chip ID should update in the ui and most likely you will have heard a BEEP noise from the reader.

A Phoniebox is a music Jukebox that plays songs when RFID cards are swiped near it. Its basically a firebeetle esp32 running esphome which is hooked up to a RC522 rfid reader, some arcade buttons and a 18650 battery. The esp32 goes into deepsleep when not in use giving me really great battery life. Once a button is pressed the system wakes up and connects to an mqtt server. (takes about 2 seconds)

I wired a jumper to each button, and connected those to individual GPIO pins.
